Manual or automatic adjustment of backgauge height. The R axis facilitates bending of larger radii, e.g. by step bending.

To achieve a satisfactory step bending result, several calculations are required based on key parameters of the bending process:
- Arc length – distance between the ends of the bent sheet, measured along the inner side of the bend;
- Number of bends – the number of single bends required to obtain the desired radius; the more bends, the smaller the angle of each and the smoother the arc;
- Distance between bends – spacing between consecutive bends performed during the process.
Although step bending may seem complex, CORMAK machines and software are advanced enough to fully assist the operator in most aspects.

Safety
Laser safety system
Equipped as standard with a high-quality laser safety system protecting the operator and significantly increasing the bending speed.

We do not compromise on safety! Top-quality hydraulic connections and safety valves ensure reliable operation and protection.

Beware of non-compliant systems such as light curtains or simple gates, which do not meet CE standards and may endanger employees’ health. The employer is responsible for operator safety!
CE-compliant safety guards

Ergonomics and Additional Features:
- Mobile controller on a movable arm
- LED lighting: improves comfort and work safety
- Front supports on linear guides

CORMAK press brakes are equipped with a range of advanced safety features, including clear markings, side guards, rear safety gate and easily accessible emergency stops.
Each machine is supplied with a clear and detailed user manual.
CE certification does not automatically mean a machine is safe — the installed safety systems are what matter most!

SCO – Oil Cooling System
Included as standard, this system ensures stable operating parameters even during long-term continuous use.
Punch and Die Clamping:
- Standard: segmented, multi-groove, four-sided dies and segmented punches
- Standard CORMAK system: manual AMADA-type (European) quick-change system
- Punches are mounted from the side of the machine and locked with screws
Selection of Dies and Punches
Proper selection of tools – dies and punches – is essential to achieve the required bending result.
CORMAK press brakes continuously measure the bending process and can automatically correct deviations to ensure the most accurate outcome.

Depending on the press force, segmented punches and dies may vary in length.
