Technical Parameters

Automatic adjustment of the back gauge (X axis) and R axis (manual option*). The R axis facilitates bending with larger radii, e.g. by a step bending system.

Optional regulation of backgauge fingers on axes Z1, Z2, R1, R2, X1, X2 driven by servomotors.

To achieve satisfactory results in step bending, certain calculations are necessary, which require knowledge of several key parameters related to the bending process — these are:

• Arc length – the distance between the ends of the bent sheet curve measured along the inner side of the bend;
• Number of bends – the number of single bends that must be performed to obtain a bent sheet with a specific radius; the greater the number of bends, the smaller the individual bending angle, resulting in a smoother curve;
• Distance between bends – the spacing between individual bends made during the process.

Although the step bending process may seem quite complex, CORMAK machines and software are so advanced that they take over many of these calculations and adjustments from the operator.

SCO – Oil Cooling System

Standard equipment includes an oil cooling system that ensures stable machine performance even during long, continuous operation.

Punch and die clamping:

• Standard equipment includes sectional, four-sided multi-groove dies and sectional punches.
• The standard system used in CORMAK press brakes is the manual AMADA (European) type quick-change system for fast and convenient tool changes.
• Punches are mounted from the side of the machine and locked with screws.

Selection of dies and punches

The final bending result also depends on the proper selection of the punch and die.
CORMAK press brakes continuously measure bending parameters and can automatically correct deviations during the process to achieve the optimal result.

Depending on the press force, sectional punches and dies may vary in length.
