Automatic adjustment of back-gauge travel (axis X) and R-axis (with manual option*). The R-axis facilitates bending larger radii, e.g. by step-bending system.


Optional servo-motor adjustment of fingers on axes Z1, Z2, R1, R2, X1 and X2.

To achieve a satisfactory step-bending result, certain calculations are required, based on a few key bending parameters:
- Arc length – distance between the ends of the bent sheet’s curve, measured along the inner bend side.
- Number of bends – total individual bends needed to achieve a given radius; the greater the number of bends, the smaller the angle of each bend and the smoother the curve.
- Spacing between bends – distance between successive bends performed during the process.
Although step bending may seem complex, CORMAK machines and software are so advanced that many operations are automatically handled by the system, relieving the operator of manual calculations.
