Manual or automatic adjustment of backstop height. The R axis facilitates bending of larger radii, for example using a step bending system.

To achieve a satisfactory step bending result, certain calculations are necessary, which require knowledge of several key parameters related to the bending process, including:
- Arc length – the distance between the ends of the bent sheet curve measured on the inner side of the bend;
- Number of bends – the number of single bends required to obtain a sheet with the desired radius; the greater the number of bends, the smaller the angle of each bend and the smoother the arc;
- Distance between bends – the distance between each bend performed during the process.
Although the step bending process may appear complex, CORMAK machines and software are so advanced that they greatly assist the operator in many aspects.

Safety
Laser safety system
Standard equipment includes a high-class laser safety system protecting the operator and more than doubling the bending process speed.

No compromise on safety! Top-quality hydraulic connections and safety valves designed in the EU.

Be cautious with pseudo safety systems such as gates or light curtains, as they do not comply with CE standards and may endanger employees. As an employer, you are responsible for your workers’ safety!
Safety guards compliant with CE

Ergonomics and additional features:
- Mobile controller on movable arm
- LED lighting: increases comfort and safety at work
- Supports on linear guides

We care about the safety of our clients and their teams, therefore our press brakes are equipped with numerous advanced safety systems. These include clear markings, side covers, rear safety gates, and easily accessible emergency stop buttons.
Each machine is delivered with a clear and detailed user manual.
The CE declaration itself does not guarantee safety – what matters are the systems the machine is equipped with!

SCO – Oil cooling system
Standard equipment ensuring stable machine parameters even after long continuous operation.
Tool and die clamping:
- Standard divided four-sided multi-groove dies and divided punches
- The standard system used in CORMAK press brakes is the manual AMADA (European) type, enabling quick tool changes
- Punches are side-mounted and locked with screws
Selection of die and punch
The final bending effect depends largely on the correct selection of press brake tools — the die and punch.
CORMAK press brakes continuously measure the bending process and can automatically correct deviations during operation to ensure optimal results.

Depending on the press force, divided punches and dies may differ in length.
