Automatic adjustment of backgauge travel (X axis) and R-axis (manual option*). The R-axis facilitates bending of larger radii, for example using a step-bending system.

For a satisfactory step bending result, certain calculations must be performed, requiring knowledge of several key parameters related to the bending process, including:
- Arc length – the distance between the ends of the bent part of the sheet, measured on the inner side of the bend;
- Number of bends – the number of individual bends that must be made to obtain a sheet with a specified radius; the greater the number of bends, the smaller the angle of each individual bend and the smoother the resulting arc;
- Distance between bends – the spacing between consecutive bends performed during the process.
Although the entire step bending process may seem complex, the machines and software available from CORMAK are already so advanced that in many aspects they completely relieve the operator of the calculations.

Servo-driven follow-up supports enable bending of large sheets, lifting the material during bending to maintain the radius and ensure a consistent angle.

Punch and Die Mounting:
- Standard divided multi-groove four-sided dies and segmented punches
- The standard system used in CORMAK press brakes is the manual AMADA-type (European) quick-change system, allowing fast tool replacement

For optimal results, proper selection of die and punch is essential.
CORMAK press brakes continuously monitor bending parameters and can automatically correct deviations during the process to ensure the most accurate results.
