Automatic backgauge (X axis) and R axis movement control – manual adjustment available (option*). R axis facilitates large-radius bending, e.g. step bending system.


Optionally, finger adjustment in axes Z1, Z2, R1, R2, X1, X2 via servomotors.

For satisfactory results in step bending, certain calculations are necessary, which require knowledge of key parameters related to the bending process:
- Arc length – the distance between the ends of the curved section of the sheet, measured along the inner side of the bend;
- Number of bends – the number of individual bends required to obtain the desired radius; the higher the number of bends, the smaller each bend angle and the smoother the arc;
- Distance between bends – the spacing between individual bends performed during the process.
Although step bending may seem complex, the CORMAK machines and software are so advanced that they automate many aspects of the process.

Laser safety system

Follow-up supports on servomotors enable bending of large-format sheets — during bending, the supports lift the sheet to prevent deformation and maintain the correct angle.

SCO – Oil cooling system
Included as standard, ensures stable working parameters even during long, continuous operation.
Tool clamping and die mounting:
- Standard four-sided segmented multi-groove dies and sectional punches
- The default CORMAK system is a manual AMADA-type (European) quick-change clamping for rapid tool replacement
- Punches are side-mounted and locked using screws
Selection of dies and punches
For optimal bending results, proper selection of press brake tools is crucial. CORMAK press brakes continuously monitor bending accuracy and can automatically compensate for deviations during operation.

Depending on the press tonnage, sectional punches and dies may vary in length.
