For a satisfactory step bending result, certain calculations are necessary, requiring knowledge of key parameters related to the bending process, such as:
- Arc length – the distance between the ends of the curved sheet, measured along the inner bending side;
- Number of bends – the number of single bends needed to achieve the required radius; the higher the number, the smaller the angle of each bend and the smoother the arc;
- Distance between bends – the distance between each single bend performed during the process.
Although the step bending process may seem complex, CORMAK machines and software are now advanced enough to handle most tasks automatically, significantly assisting the operator.

SCO – Oil Cooling System

Tool clamping system:

CORMAK press brakes continuously measure bending angles and can automatically correct deviations during operation for optimal accuracy.
