Product features
The universal metal bandsaw type CORMAK BS712R allows cutting in the vertical plane and perpendicular to the axis of the material being cut, or at any angle within the 45°–90° range. The workpiece can be fed manually or by any feeding device. The feed during cutting operates by gravity, based on the oil flow in a dual-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The desired arm lowering speed is achieved thanks to a valve regulating the oil flow between the chambers. The desired linear blade speed is obtained by changing the pulley ratio between the worm gearbox and the drive motor. The arm is made of profiled spheroidal cast iron, providing rigidity during operation and absorbing all types of vibrations. The control panel is located on the saw arm. The bandsaw drive system consists of two cast-iron wheels. The first is the tensioning wheel (adjusted by a lever), and the second is the drive wheel. Torque is transmitted directly to the drive wheel from the worm gearbox, which is powered by an electric motor. The proper inclination angle of the blade is ensured by a set of bearing rollers. The machine base is a rigid rectangular structure made of steel plates, inside which there is a coolant tank with a coolant pump. The upper part of the base holds a tray for draining coolant and a chip container for material debris. On the tray, there is a cast-iron worktable that holds the material vice and to which the saw arm is attached. The vice is equipped with a quick clamp for securing the workpiece. In the lower part of the pedestal, there are openings for the wheel axles. Safety during the cutting process is ensured by an electrical installation that meets all CE requirements. The machine features a limit switch that stops the saw when the cutting process is complete, an emergency stop button (“safety mushroom”), and several microswitches that shut off the machine if, for example, the pulley drive or blade cover is opened. Additionally, this model, unlike competing designs, is equipped with a wire brush for cleaning the cutting blade from chips—preventing clogging of the blade and improving cutting efficiency.
NEW FEATURE
The arm structure has been redesigned so that the horizontal bandsaw can quickly be converted into a vertical bandsaw with a worktable. This feature allows not only metal cutting but also use as a vertical scroll saw for woodworking applications.
