Construction and applied technological solutions

The machine body is made of high-grade cast iron, whose purpose is to effectively dampen vibrations generated during machining. Thanks to this, the conventional lathe maintains high stability even when turning harder materials. The bed, with a width of 100 mm, is equipped with hardened guideways, guaranteeing many years of accurate carriage guidance.

The spindle, mounted on precision tapered bearings, has an MT5 taper and a through bore with a diameter of 38 mm. Stepless speed control eliminates the need for frequent gear changes, which significantly improves the operator’s work. Electronic control and the digital LCD display enable quick setting of suitable parameters for each type of material.

The carriage provides smooth travel and precise tool guidance, while the tailstock equipped with an MT2 taper allows convenient support of long shafts and cooperation with additional tools.

An additional advantage of the lathe is the drip tray for coolant and swarf, which makes it easier to keep the workstation clean during machining. The construction effectively drains coolant and collects the generated swarf, limiting its spread around the machine. This solution increases operator comfort, improves daily maintenance and allows the machining process to be organised more efficiently.

The CORMAK TYTAN 220x750P VARIO universal lathe has been designed for carrying out accurate turning operations while maintaining high surface quality. The rigid construction, automatic feed and smooth speed control make it possible to achieve very good dimensional repeatability and reduce vibrations during operation.

The lathe is equipped with a digital position readout for the longitudinal and cross axes (DRO), which enables precise control of carriage movement during machining. Electronic measurement reduces the risk of errors resulting from reading mechanical scales, shortens dimension setting time and increases the repeatability of manufactured parts. The digital readout significantly improves operations requiring high dimensional accuracy, both in single-piece and small-batch production.
