Drilling and Milling Machine ZX 7055 VARIO by CORMAK is an efficient universal milling machine for drilling, milling and tapping in steel and cast iron. The design based on a massive casting and continuously variable speeds in two ranges ensure repeatable accuracy in one-off and small-batch work.

Construction and technology

The core of the machine is a heavy cast iron casting with wide guides, which minimises deflection during face milling and end milling. The massive cross table with a large working area has a precision-ground surface, which guarantees flatness for setting. The spindle with an MT4 taper is driven by an S1/S6 1.5/1.8kW motor with continuously variable speed control. The integrated cooling system stabilises the temperature of the cutting zone and improves surface quality.

Precision and working efficiency

The combination of ground gears and solid guides ensures high dimensional repeatability and surface smoothness. Automatic spindle feed and two speed ranges make it possible to select stable parameters for drilling in steel up to Ø32mm and cast iron up to Ø45mm, as well as face milling up to Ø80mm and end milling up to Ø28mm. Ergonomic head height adjustment shortens changeover time for both batch and one-off workpieces.

ZX 7055 VARIO is recommended for tool rooms, maintenance departments, metalworking shops and small-batch production, where a multi-purpose drilling and milling machine combining drilling, milling, countersinking and tapping on one machine is required.
