Design and technology of the CNC lathe

Slant-bed construction

CK400x500 CNC lathe has been designed with a slant-bed structure providing greater rigidity and chip evacuation efficiency compared to traditional flat-bed designs. Such construction minimises thermal and mechanical deformation, resulting in long-term dimensional accuracy during machining.

Spindle and drive

The spindle with a bore of 52 mm and chuck 210 mm is driven by a 7.5 kW motor, enabling effective machining of both small and larger components. The spindle-speed range 200–4 000 rpm allows adjusting parameters to different materials and operations.

Turret head

The 12-position turret head enables fast tool change for tools 12 × 25 mm, which increases flexibility and shortens downtime. The automatic lubrication system for gears and guideways ensures smooth motion and extends the service life of components.

Cooling system and hydraulic tailstock

The lathe is equipped with an efficient cooling system that prevents overheating of the workpiece and tools, which is essential for serial production. The hydraulic tailstock with a sleeve diameter of 62 mm and travel of 80 mm (MK4 taper) provides stable support for workpieces up to 500 mm in length.
