 CORMAK vane compressors are devices with simple and reliable operation. Thanks to their design, in which the number of moving elements has been reduced to a minimum, they ensure long-term operation with minimal technical maintenance requirements. Vane compressors are distinguished by their compact design , which allows them to be installed in a small area. Additionally, thanks to the low rotational speed of the compression elements, our vane compressors are extremely quiet , which allows them to be used in various working environments. Vane compressors are particularly valued where it is required to provide a constant air flow at a stable pressure.

Principle of operation of a vane compressor :

  1. Rotor and housing : The rotor of a vane compressor is placed eccentrically in a circular housing, which means that its axis of rotation does not coincide with the axis of the compression chamber. Sliding blades are mounted in the grooves of the rotor, which, under the influence of centrifugal force, move outwards during rotation.

  2. Blade action : As the rotor rotates, the blades extend and adhere to the inner wall of the housing. In this way, they create closed chambers between themselves, the rotor and the housing.

  3. Air suction : As the rotor rotates, larger volume spaces are created in the housing into which air is drawn. The suction process begins when the blades are in the larger volume section, where the pressure is lower.

  4. Compression : As the rotor continues to rotate, the blades move closer to the housing. This reduces the volume of the enclosed space, which compresses the air or gas.

  5. Exhaust : After reaching the maximum pressure, the compressed air is pushed out through the exhaust port. The exhaust process takes place when the chamber with compressed air reaches the section where the exhaust port is located.

  6. Cooling and Lubrication : The blades are usually lubricated with oil, which also seals the spaces between the blades and the housing. The oil also helps cool the compressor, which helps it maintain consistent performance and longer life.
