Extraction and filtration systems are essential to ensure operator safety and protect laser system components from damage. The main advantages of an advanced system such as the LDC-4L include automatic filter cleaning, 99.9% filtration efficiency for fumes and dust, a high-performance fan and compact design — all of which ensure protection, performance and longer laser system lifespan.
Laser processing is a clean and relatively safe method of material treatment. However, it produces hazardous fumes and dust, which are especially dangerous as they contain heavy metals that can accumulate in the human body. Apart from health risks, laser fumes and dust also negatively affect work quality — both for the operator and for machines, which may become damaged due to contamination. Laser dust strongly adheres to machine surfaces. Additionally, if essential laser components such as mirrors or lenses become contaminated, irreversible damage may occur.
Extraction and filtration systems are key elements in any laser installation. They must be reliable and tailored to specific working conditions. Their main purpose is to ensure safe removal of fumes and dust, and where necessary, filtration of these substances. Extraction systems guarantee safe working conditions for operators and maintain laser lenses in a clean state, preserving their efficiency and longevity, while also minimising unpleasant odours during laser processing.
The filtration process for laser gases and dust occurs in several stages. Initially, a coarse-particle filter is used, followed by a fine-particle filter made from polyester material in a metal frame. This filter effectively removes up to 90% of dust and fine particles from the extracted air, ensuring that the air released back into the workspace is clean and safe.

The extractor features automatic filter cleaning using compressed air. Under pressure, the filter is shaken, effectively cleaning the cartridge and extending its service life. This maintains the system’s efficiency over long-term operation.
The filtration element used in the system is imported and made from high-quality material. The fire-resistant Nano-type filter offers excellent filtration efficiency, retaining particles as small as 0.3 μm with an efficiency above 99.9%.
A large dust collection drawer allows for easy dust removal and cleaning, simplifying maintenance procedures.
The motors are equipped with overload protection, ensuring a high level of safety and reliable, failure-free performance.
A specially designed, high-efficiency fan wheel generates strong negative pressure, enabling effective fume extraction and ensuring high airflow capacity.
The total purification efficiency of the system is 0.3 μm, with overall effectiveness exceeding 99.9%, confirming its excellent capability in removing harmful particles from the air. The compact design also facilitates operation and maintenance.
