The VCGW160412 insert with polycrystalline diamond (PKD / PCD) is a cutting tool designed for turning non-ferrous materials and composites such as aluminium (below and above 12% Si), copper, ceramics before sintering, graphite, rubber or fibre-reinforced plastics. Geometry: basic shape V (35°), clearance angle C (7°), radius tolerance ±0.015 mm, edge radius r = 1.2 mm, cutting edge length 3.0 mm. The insert is brazed on a substrate, features a W-type chipbreaker and G-type tolerance mounting, ensuring stable and precise cutting performance.
