Extraction characteristics
Laser machining is a process in which a laser is used to process materials. This is a relatively safe and hygienic method. However, this process generates dangerous fumes and dust that contain heavy metals that are harmful to human health. Additionally, smoke and dust negatively affect the quality of work and may damage machines due to contamination.
To deal with these problems, extraction and filtering systems are essential in any laser installation. Their main task is to safely remove smoke and dust, and, if necessary, also to filter these substances. These systems provide safe working conditions for operators and keep laser lenses clean to maintain efficiency and minimize unpleasant odors during laser processing.
The filtration process of laser gases and dust takes place in several stages. First, a filter for larger particles is used, and then a filter for finer particles, made of polyester in a metal frame, effectively removes up to 90% of dust and particles from the sucked air. The last stage is an active carbon filter, which, thanks to a special carbon composition, cleans the air of unwanted substances such as heavy metals and toxic chemicals. The carbon surface in the filter acts like a sponge, effectively removing harmful contaminants, after which clean air is released into the room.
The main functions of the exhaust gas extraction and filtration system in the laser processing process include:
Removal and neutralization of laser smoke.
Ensuring safe work at the laser station and in its immediate surroundings.
Extend the life of laser systems by keeping them clean and protecting key components from contamination.
The most important advantages of the LDC-6L extraction device are:
Automatic filter cleaning using compressed air, which extends filter life and maintains system performance for longer.
Nano type flame retardant filter, imported and made of high-quality materials, effectively retaining particles with a size of 0.3 μm by over 99.9%.
Large dust collection drawer for easy system maintenance.
Motors with overload protection, ensuring a high level of protection and reliability.
High-performance fan wheel generating high negative pressure, enabling effective laser exhaust removal and ensuring high airflow efficiency.
The total purification efficiency of the system is 0.3 μm, and the efficiency is over 99.9%, which proves the high efficiency of the extraction system in removing harmful particles from the air. Additionally, the compact design of the system facilitates its operation and maintenance.
Extraction and filtering systems are necessary to ensure the safe work of operators and protect laser system components from damage. Filtration, including the use of a carbon filter, is a key step in the process, removing harmful substances and producing clean air. The key benefits of an advanced extraction system such as the LDC-4L include automatic cleaning, 99.9% filtration efficiency, efficient fan and compact design, which together ensure protection, efficiency and extended life of laser systems.
