Edge banding machines and accessories

Finishing furniture made of wood-like materials requires tools that can apply to edges such materials as PVC or ABS. The process of edge banding can be divided into 5 steps. The first one involves placing glue on the edge of an element, afterwards the borders of a specified material are glued onto and excessive amount is levelled with the board through milling. Next steps include rounding edges and cutting off beginnings and endings in order to level them with the element.

Available edge banding machines differ from each other primarily in the areas of application and capabilities. Basic models are intended for small manufacturing facilities, where automation is not a necessity. However, to the facilities where speed and accuracy are key, the best choice are automatic machines that allow for edge banding of not only straight elements but also curved.
