LASER CUTTING PROCESS
Laser cutting is a modern and widely used technique of material processing. The cutting tool in this technique is a high energy density laser beam that cuts through the material. Laser cutting is suitable for the processing of metal, non-metal and composite materials. It is therefore quite popular.
The course of the laser cutting process
The laser cutting process is based on the effect of the laser beam at its focal point, where the beam artifact density and its power are the highest, causing rapid melting, evaporation, ablation and heating of the cut material to the ignition temperature. The place of the beam incident on the material is washed with a fast flowing gas which, while flowing along the beam incidence axis, removes the molten material. Laser cutting is one of the techniques of hot processing of materials.
